I built a custom sound system for my C-Crosser with an under-seat sub. I used the optical TOSLINK output straight into a DSP amp. The audio signal is completely pure digital. Audiophile dream.

The new fascia clips securely into the original factory mounting holes. The screen is rock solid and doesn't vibrate or shake at all when driving over rough farm tracks. Very well manufactured plastics.

The capacitive glass feels premium, just like a high-end tablet. Swiping through the app drawer and pinching to zoom on satellite maps is incredibly fluid without any frustrating ghosting.

Massive 128GB local storage

Downloaded massive offline map areas for areas with zero signal, plus gigabytes of downloaded music. The eMMC storage is very fast and I still have tons of space left over.

Flawless GPS lock in remote areas

The magnetic GPS receiver works flawlessly. I mounted it right underneath the plastic top dash cover. It locks onto 15+ satellites instantly with zero dropouts, even when driving through dense forests in Wales.

The X73 PRO 360 camera makes tight parking easy

These SUVs are quite bulky. Bought the X73 tier and fitted the 360-degree cameras. The high-res ultra-wide display shows a perfect top-down view. Squeezing into supermarket spots is effortless now.

A6 PRO base model is incredible value

I didn't need 4G or crazy RAM for my Peugeot 4007, just wanted Wireless CarPlay for navigation and calls. The A6 PRO quad-core handles it perfectly. Very cost-effective way to modernize a family SUV.

I jump in, turn the key, and my Samsung links up wirelessly in about 5 seconds. No messing around with cables tangling around the gear stick. Rock solid connection that hasn't dropped once on my commute.

Split screen is perfect on a 9-inch display

The widescreen aspect ratio is practically made for split-screen. I have Google Maps running on the driver's side of the screen, and Spotify on the passenger side. Incredibly functional layout for long highway drives.

Bluetooth calls are crystal clear

The 2.2 HDi diesel engine can be a bit loud. Mounted the supplied clip-on microphone near the sun visor. Callers say they can hear me perfectly at 70mph over the road and engine noise, the echo cancellation on the Bluetooth 5.0 chip is stellar.

Installation is very straightforward

Taking the C-Crosser dashboard apart is actually very easy, you just pop off the surrounding trim piece with a plastic pry tool and undo the screws holding the original radio bracket. The actual stereo wiring is strictly plug-and-play. Very rewarding DIY.

Button colours match perfectly

You can go into the system settings and adjust the RGB backlighting of the physical buttons on the side. I dialed it in to match the classic red/amber instrument cluster. Looks gorgeous at night.

Zero lag with 8GB RAM (X73 PRO)

I went for the highest spec version. Bouncing between Waze, Apple CarPlay, and split-screen Android apps is buttery smooth. The Octa-Core processor handles heavy GPS rendering without breaking a sweat.

Audio quality improved dramatically

The base factory speakers (without Rockford) are notoriously flat. The built-in 32-band DSP chip completely opened up the soundstage. I tuned the bass and mid-range, and it sounds 100x better without even changing the door speakers.

Fantastic anti-glare IPS panel

These SUVs have quite an upright seating position. The anti-reflective coating on this glass is excellent, keeping Google Maps completely visible and readable even on bright summer days with the sun hitting the dash.

Instant boot is brilliant

I turn the key in the ignition and by the time the engine fires up, the screen is awake and Wireless CarPlay is connected. No annoying 30-second Android loading screens every time I jump in and out of the car.

A massive upgrade for towing

I use the Outlander for towing a caravan. Popping a 4G SIM card into the A18 PRO unit means I have Waze running with live traffic, while Spotify streams seamlessly. Never drops the connection. Game changer for long trips.

Steering wheel buttons retained instantly

Plugged the main block in, went into the steering wheel control app, and mapped my volume, track skipping, and phone answer buttons instantly. The resistive steering wheel controls work perfectly without needing a complex CANbus box on my base model.

Perfect fit in my Peugeot 4007

Since the 4007 shares the dashboard with the Outlander, this unit dropped straight in. The stereo plug-and-play aspect is flawless. I wired an AHD 1080p camera to the tailgate and the crystal clear, massive 9-inch display makes parking so easy.

Rockford Fosgate subwoofer still kicks!

My biggest worry was losing the factory Rockford Fosgate sound system and boot subwoofer on my Outlander Mk2. I made sure to use the specific CANbus box for it, and it turned the amp on perfectly. The sound quality is actually better now thanks to the 32-band DSP inside this unit.

Absolutely transforms my Citroen C-Crosser interior

The original CD radio in my 2011 C-Crosser looked so dated against the rest of the dash. This 9-inch screen cleans up the center console beautifully. The fascia matches the factory trim perfectly. Highly recommend this for any owner.
